As a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a Bachelors of Science of Psychology, I am certified in Targeted Case Management with severe mental illness and substance use disorder. With years of experience I have worked with hundreds of clients towards independent living, and clinical care access. As TCM I have experienced the importance of clinical outcomes and its coordination with service planning as a treatment team. I'm appreciative to be a part of this treatment team and assist those who are with aims of strengthening their sense of independence.
Hello! I am Shawna Marshall, Targeted Case Manager for Victory House Transitional Living. I have been a TCM for 2 years and I am also a recovering addict with 3 years of recovery. I have a BA from Morehead State University. I'm a small-town girl from eastern KY who had lost all hope but came to Lexington with my husband to try again. Through Victory House Transitional Living, and God's grace, we were able to find a new way to live and build a new life that was worth living. Today, I get to give away what was so freely given to me through being a TCM. I get to share my story and show other addicts that there is hope and that life can be so much better if they just trust the process. I have been where they have been. I welcome them to walk with me so that I can help them find a way out.
My name is Stephanie Logsdon. I graduated from WKU with a Bachelors in Psychology in 2011. However, I chose to raise my kids and substitute teach until I got the last one into preschool. At that time, I accepted a position as a diversion specialist for a family preservation program to help families who found themselves involved with DCBS. I collaborated with the families to teach them life skills and obtain resources that would make their daily lives more manageable. I chose to leave the field of social work during a difficult divorce. I've realized that we can't help others unless we take care of ourselves first. I know all too well the consequences of self-medicating a broken heart with alcohol and the difficulties clients may face in struggling to get their lives back on track. I am currently working on a masters degree in Social Work at NKU. I've chosen to focus my studies on trauma informed practice to better assist clients in their battles to overcome substance abuse. I'm excited for my future again and over the moon to be included as a part of this team. I'm excited to collaborate with clients in assisting them to put the pieces of their lives back together and help them to find fulfillment in their own lives.
As a Lexington native, I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and am now pursuing my Master’s in Clinical Social Work at the University of Kentucky. I first stepped into the field of substance misuse as an MSW practicum student at Victory House. At that time, I wasn’t quite sure which area of social work I wanted to focus on, but that quickly changed. Working in recovery opened my eyes to the meaningful impact of this work, and I realized this is where I want to make a difference. I’m dedicated to supporting individuals on their journey to recovery, helping them build resilience and regain a sense of independence.
