Victory House was founded in October 2019, I didn’t know what God had in store but I knew that I wanted to help people get their lives back, like my life had been given back to me. I never imagined then that Victory House would become what it is today. I have been in recovery since July 6, 2018, I am a graduate of Fayette County Veterans Court and have worked in recovery a total of six years. In 2020, I received my associate degree in applied science from Bluegrass Community Technical College and also officially became an adult certified peer support specialist.
Since the Victory House opened, we have expanded to having twenty-five staff members on board and have the capacity to hold 94 clients, both male and female.
Along with the help of the staff at Victory House, together we have assisted hundreds of clients successfully transition back into society and become productive members of society again. We work closely together to empower our clients; helping them overcome adversities and various life challenges that have been brought on by substance use disorders and deteriorating mental health issues.
I am passionate about working with clients in the struggles they face. I thoroughly enjoy assisting them in finding the best solution and move towards the ultimate goal, which is learning how to stay clean from drugs and alcohol one day at a time and live a life that includes peace and serenity no matter what they may face along the way.
