Peer Support - Owensboro

Bobby Miller CPSS

My name is Bobby Miller my sobriety date is 2/4/2019 a date that I’m very proud of and hold dear to my heart. I’m an alumni from Owensboro Regional Recovery and a member of Alcoholics Anonymous. Working both these programs has taught me so much about living life on life’s terms and being of service to others. I’m proud to say that today in life I thoroughly enjoy being able to help others throughout their journey of sobriety.

Nancy Castle CPSS

Hello my name is Nancy Castle. My sobriety date is 2-12-21 and I am an alumni of True North Treatment Center. I have worked in addiction treatment for the last 15 months and I am currently a Peer Support Specialist here at Victory House Transitional Living. It is by the grace of God that I have been given this opportunity to help others who struggle with addiction by sharing my story and my journey to recovery.

Rachel Hunt CPSS

My name is Rachel Hunt and my sobriety date is December 14, 2021.

Through the grace of God, His love and mercy, and the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous, I was able to navigate early society and find lasting healing from my drug and alcohol addictions. My journey has not been easy, but it has been worth every step.

Today, I am a Certified Peer Support Specialist because I believe it is my mission to help others who are still suffering find peace in recovery. I know firsthand that change is possible - because I lived it. I went from prison to peer support, and if I can turn my life around, I truly believe that anyone can. There is hope, and there is freedom from  on the other side of addiction.

Gala Freels TRDAPSS

Gala Freels is a Temporary Registered Peer Specialist from Kentucky with a deep commitment to supporting others on their journey through recovery. She holds a degree in Addiction Services and is currently working toward her CADC in Human Services. Gala’s passion for this work grew from personal experience and a heartfelt desire to help others find hope and healing. Over the years, she has found great fulfillment in walking alongside individuals as they reclaim their lives and rediscover their purpose.

Recovery, to Gala, is not just a profession—it’s a way of life. She believes that every step forward, no matter how small, is worth celebrating, and she approaches her work with compassion, understanding, and genuine care. Guided by faith, Gala gives all credit to God for the strength and opportunities she’s been given. She views each person she works with as capable of change and worthy of support.

With humility and grace, Gala continues to grow in her role, always learning and striving to better serve those who need encouragement and guidance. Her journey is a testament to resilience, faith, and the transformative power of community. She is honored to be part of the Victory House mission and is driven by a desire for genuine change.
